TURKEY EARTHQUAKE EMERGENCY DISTRIBUTUTIONS

It was a difficult thing to see the devastation throughout the earthquake zone in Turkey. The stories we heard; entire families wiped out and family members and friends lost.

The ability to go and distribute aid there was a blessing and wouldn't have been possible without Muslim Charity UK. Thanks to Allah and to Kate and Ibrar of Kate Rafiq Studio, who entrusted us to distribute with the funds they had raised with friends and family alhamdulillah.

We distributed the following:

  • 80 Hygiene kits in Akçakale to Syrian families internally displaced by the earthquake. These families had run from civil war so were now homeless twice over.
  • 20 Stove kits to Turkish families in an IDP refugee camp in Kharamanmaris

The need is ever present, so please keep donating. Thank you

TURKEY EARTHQUAKE MISSION, APRIL 2023

Migration Relief will be partnering up with Muslim Charity to deliver aid in the earthquake affected areas of Turkey.  From the 1st -6th April 2023, we will be on the ground in Kirkhan, Hatay, distributing gas stoves for heating and cooking, and family hygiene kits.

The Gas Stove Kit will consist of a double ring gas cooker, a 3 month gas supply bottle and necessary attachment. The stove doubles up as a heater in these cold conditions.

The Hygiene Kit will consist of soap, toothpaste, menstrual supplies, diapers and other essential items.

  • LEBANON MISSION - FEBRUARY 2023

This was always going to be a special mission as it was our first, however we could have never expected to raise as much money as we did, and thanks to Allah and all our donors, we managed to distribute $22,000 USD (£18,700 GBP) worth of aid.

    Our distributions were as follows:

    • Food packs to 105 Syrian families living in Tufail refugee camp, Arsal.
    • Heating fuel to 105 Syrian families living in Tufail refugee camp, Arsal.
    • Food packs to 50 Palestinian families living in Burj el-Burajneh refugee camp, Beirut.
    • Food packs to 80 Palestinian families living in Shatila refugee camp, Beirut.
    • Heating fuel to 300 Syrian families living in Malaab refugee camp in Arsal.
    • Food packs to 200 Syrian families living in Hesen refugee camp, Arsal.
    • Winter footwear and socks to 70 Syrian children in Tufail refugee camp, Arsal.

A huge thank you to ACA Lebanon who facilitated everything, and to REVO Realty from Dubai who sponsored my flights to Lebanon and the Fuel distribution to 300 Syrian families.

**URGENT APPEAL FOR LEBANON WINTER FUEL**

I am heading to Lebanon on the 3rd of February 2023 and with your help and generosity, we have raised £1750 including offline donations, enough to feed 80 families for up to a month.

However, I would also like to raise enough money to keep those families warm too, so i am asking once more for your help.

Each 20 litres of fuel costs £24 so i need to raise £2000 to do this. It has been cold in the UK recently so imagine how bad it has been for these families living in tents and makeshift shelters in ice rain and snow!

It is a 100% donation policy so every single penny goes towards the refugees. Any operational costs are being covered personally by me, and my flights have been donated by another charitable organisation whom i will also be filming for in return.

Please donate and share with your friends. I will be filming whilst out there to feedback to everyone exactly how and where the money is spent, and most importantly the people you are helping.

We have 8 days to reach our target!

    About Migration Relief

With your help, our aim is to provide life saving and sustaining support through food and non-food items to refugees and IDPs (Internally Displaced People). We will also support the local economy and host communities to provide sustainable solutions.

Having spent time in many refugee and IDP camps around the world, it is clear to us that these populations are in dire need of every kind of help available. We will be supporting refugees and IDPs in Lebanon, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and Jordan amongst other countries, as and when the need arises.

MATT ROBINSON - Founder, Migration Relief

My name is Matt and I'm an Artist, Film maker and Author.

The last 20 years of my career has been solely spent in Media, with the last 6 specifically in the Humanitarian sector (The 3rd Sector). The life experience I have gained whilst working in this sector has changed me forever in terms of gratitude and appreciation for humanity. This lead me to complete and pass the specialist course Humanitarian Response to Conflict and Disaster via Harvard University online.

In the course of my work, I have come to see that refugees are stateless, passport-less and at the mercy of their host country. I started Migration Relief because I feel that the need is increasing and the threat of war, famine and natural disasters is ever growing.

Refugees need our help. Together we can make a difference.
